Clients — homeowners, developers, businesses, property managers and anyone requiring a service — always use Builders Place SA for free. The first 100 service providers receive 4 months free; later subscribers receive a 30-day free trial. No card is required. Membership is R295/month after the trial, with no commission on contracts or per-lead charges. We will notify you before billing begins.

Any signed-in user, including a service provider sourcing work or materials, can list a project, request for quotation (RFQ) or tender. Choose the service category, provider types and project location, describe the scope, and optionally add a budget. Set a publication and expiry date; without an expiry date, the request lasts 14 days. You can close it early from Your requests. Notifications are matched to the category, provider type and declared service area. You can also find a business and request a quote directly in chat.

Business details and optional documents are supplied by each provider. Profile information levels reflect information supplied, not independent checks with registration bodies, accreditation, quality of work or a guarantee. Providers are responsible for valid, accurate and current documents. Clients should check credentials directly with the issuing body before contracting.

Check registrations relevant to the work: CIDB, NHBRC, BIBC, ECB, DoEL, PIRB, COIDA and public liability insurance; MBSA membership is voluntary. For professionals, check SACPCMP (project/construction managers), ECSA (engineers), SACAP (architects), SACQSP (quantity surveyors), SACPLAN (planners) and professional indemnity insurance. Requirements vary by service. Request recent references, review past projects, and agree scope, timelines and payment milestones in writing. Verify documents with the issuing organisation.

Use the Report button on a business profile for platform issues, concerns or feedback, or email support@buildersplacesa.co.za. Customer feedback is private for platform compliance review, not a public rating. Builders Place SA investigates platform guideline breaches but does not provide formal dispute resolution between clients and providers.

Open Billing in your service-provider menu and choose Cancel plan. You will be asked to confirm. No card is required during your trial. Payment processing is not yet enabled; cancellation updates your membership status and prevents further platform quoting. Contact support if you need assistance.

Builders Place SA does not process payments for contracts, services, or supplies arranged through the platform. All payment terms — including deposits, milestones, delivery, and final settlement — are agreed directly between the client and the service provider or supplier. Because Builders Place SA does not charge any commission on jobs, services, or supplies secured through the platform, providers keep 100% of the value of their contracts and sales. Our role is simply to connect clients with trusted businesses; the commercial relationship remains entirely between the two parties.
